Taz is a Yellow Labrador Retriever that was rescued from the PAWS Humane Society in Atlanta, Georgia. He was trained by the USDA to detect unmarked packages of plant material (produce, seeds, soil, plants, etc.) that can harbor invasive pests and diseases that threaten California’s agricultural industry. Taz teamed up with Sacramento County Ag Inspector Mariah de Nijs in August of 2018. Taz loves treats and is rewarded every time he finds plant material.
