California Nitrogen Management Specialty for CCAs

Program Description

The California Nitrogen Management Specialty is now available through the American Society of Agronomy (ASA). The specialty is for Certified Crop Advisors (CCA) looking to provide nitrogen management planning services to their clients and is required to certify Irrigation and Nitrogen Management Plans (INMP) for California farmers and ranchers. The California Nitrogen Management Specialty exam is being offered through ASA’s International CCA program beginning in February 2021. A CCA must pass the exam before being added to the state approved list of INMP certifiers, unless they have already participated in the California Department of Food and Agriculture’s Nitrogen Management Training for CCAs.

For more information, visit the Science Societies’ webpage on the CA-NSp certification.
