Training Office for CDFA Employees/Staff

The Training Office staff develops in-house training classes, coordinates and provides required training classes. Staff provides consultation to management to identify training solutions to performance problems, and assists employees and supervisors to identify training needs. Staff also develops and maintains the Department’s training policy and annual training plan and assists divisions with the development of their annual training plan.

CDFA Online University

The CDFA Online University (University) is fully operational. This means that all of the training information you need can be found within the University on your personal Dashboard which has nine tiles. Below is only a portion of the information contained on your Dashboard:

Calendar – This tile opens up the CDFA Instructor Lead Courses. This will allow you to see when/where each course is held before you access the catalog to enroll.

Catalog – This tile contains various training categories:

  • CDFA In-House Training Classes
  • Desktop Applications
  • Online Required
  • Professional Effectiveness

Resources – This tile provides a variety of information:

  • User Guide for the CDFA Online University
  • Required Training List
  • Out-Service Vendor Links

  • Unit Training Coordinator (UTC) List

Transcript – This tile provides allows you to access to your training history.

Message Board – This tile allows you to read the messages that were sent to you via the University. This is especially useful for those who do not have a work email address.

Q. Are there any steps I should take PRIOR to logging into the University?
A. Yes. Click Clearing Temp Files and Turning Off Pop-up Blockers for step-by-step instructions.

Q. I clicked on the CDFA Online University link above and all I can see is a blank screen/screen with lines, what do I do?
A. Click Turn on InPrivate Browsing for step-by-step instructions.

Q. What do I do if I do not have a CDFA email address?
A. Use either your supervisors or a personal email address.

Q. What is my Unique Code?
A. Your Unique Code is the first letter of your last name and the last four digits of your social security number.

Q. What do I do if I've registered with the University but have forgotten my username/password?
A. Please do not repeat the process, instead contact your UTC.
