The Climate Resilience Strategy for California Agriculture (RSA) is organized under three overarching pillars and twelve key objectives, which are long-term outcomes that the Strategy aims to achieve. Each key objective embodies a unique aspect of the California agricultural system, climate hazards, and strategies that contribute to a more resilient agricultural system.
While the strategies and actions throughout the RSA are organized by key objective, they fit within the following four goals, and all actions listed in the document support at least one of the Goals. These goals are high-level tenets of the Strategy.
The Equity Principles were developed to help CDFA and partner agencies evaluate and improve initiatives, such as program design, policy development, and plan implementation. These six principles ensure that agencies serve all farmers, ranchers, and land stewards by providing a consistent set of guiding concepts to embed within plans, programs, policy development, and implementation to ensure access for all scales, crops, and types of agricultural businesses in California.
