The California Agricultural Export Council’s primary directive is to obtain and manage Federal grant funding on behalf of its members. In pursuing its Mission, CAEC works together with the individual members to develop strategic plans to expand exports of the various CAEC products, while ensuring compliance with all grant regulations.  CAEC’s secondary directive is to promote California agricultural exports in general, and to act as the primary vehicle for generic “California” promotions internationally.  CAEC accomplishes this goal by collaborating with other California - or US- based cooperators, which seek to leverage the “California Image” to increase product visibility and sales in foreign markets. CAEC and CDFA entered a project agreement in 2019 to administer federal grant funding.
