Tribal Food Sovereignty Grant Program

Program Overview

This program is funded through The Safe Drinking Water, Wildfire Prevention, Drought Preparedness, and Clean Air Bond Act of 2024.

  • $15 million will be available in early 2027 to support California Native American Tribes.
  • The program will focus on defining food systems, encompassing stewardship, cultivation, harvesting, production, and distribution.
  • This opportunity will include ancestral land return and tribal land acquisition projects.
