Bre Owens

Bre lives in Los Molinos, CA with her sons Will and Clyde, where she runs a cattle ranch, along with a farm flock of sheep. She is motivated by a love for working landscapes – for the people, plants, and animals that are a part of them. She believes that agriculture at its best is conservation at its best. Bre serves as a convener and project facilitator, with intention to bring producer needs and solutions into programs, policy and communications efforts. Beyond CA, she’s worked on ranches in OR, NV, WY, CO, NM and HI, and with rural community partnerships across every western state. She serves as President of the CA Rangeland Conservation Coalition, an advisor to the CA Grazing Network, on the Leadership Team of Rural Voices for Conservation Coalition, and as President of The Western Center. Bre operates Cobblestone Ranch, LLC for the purpose of working with land and livestock partners in the fulfillment of stewardship – defined as the tending of land and community, with a responsibility to provide for current and future generations.
