Proposed Aflatoxin Regulation Changes

The following proposed regulation changes were published in the California Regulatory Notice Register on April 17, 2009.

TITLE 3. California Code of Regulations
DIVISION 4. Plant Industry
CHAPTER 2. Field Crops
SUBCHAPTER 2. Commercial Feed
ARTICLE 9. Misbranding and Adulteration

The changes are intended to align the California regulatory limit for aflatoxins in animal feed with the federal action limits and to elimate the exemption of the afltoxin limits for the Imperial County beef feedlots.

The change is intended to provide a consistent accounting system for the Shell Egg Industry to use for reporting assessments based on shipments of shell eggs.
