CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF FOOD AND AGRICULTURE ANNOUNCES VACANCIES ON THE CALIFORNIA CITRUS PEST AND DISEASE PREVENTION COMMITTEE


SACRAMENTO - October 13, 2010 - The California Department of Food and Agriculture is announcing two vacancies on the California Citrus Pest and Disease Prevention Committee.  This advisory board makes recommendations to the CDFA Secretary on all matters pertaining to citrus pests and diseases.
The term of office for a board member is four years.  The members may be compensated for reasonable expenses actually incurred in the performance of their duties, as determined by the Secretary after consultation with the committee.
Vacancies are for a Tulare area member and a Northern California area member.  Individuals interested in being considered for appointment to the committee should send a brief résumé to the California Department of Food and Agriculture, Integrated Pest Control Branch, 1220 N Street, Room 341, Sacramento, California 95814, Attention: Larry Bezark by Monday, November 15, 2010.
