Invasive species reduce biological diversity, impact threatened & endangered species and wildlife habitats, change fire & nutrient cycles and degrade soil structure
  • Forest Service is directing noxious weed policy to include integrated pest management (IPM)--new policy integrates noxious weed management in ecosystem analysis, assessment and forest planning.
  • Forest Service policy emphasizes coordinating noxious weed management with other agencies, State & local governments and private landowners
