Research interests
Dr. Woods area of research interest include biological control of weeds, plant pathology, and plant and microbial physiology. Weed biological control projects include both terrestrial and aquatic weeds and involve both plant pathogens and arthropods as biological control agents. Current projects include yellow starthistle, squarrose, spotted and diffuse knapweeds, musk and scotch thistle and purple loosestrife. In development projects include, dalmation toadflax, white rust on tall whitetop, water hyacinth, tacalote Russian knapweed and sicilian starthistle.
