SPECIALTY CROP BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM

California Agriculture Helps Feed the Nation and the World!

The California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) is hosting a Specialty Crop Block Grant Program Workshop (SCBGP Workshop).  The SCBGP is a federally funded program that awards funds for projects that enhance the competitiveness of specialty crops.  CDFA expects to award up to $17 million in SCBGP funds in 2010 for projects that will solely enhance the competitiveness of California specialty crops.  Specialty crops are defined as fruits, vegetables, tree nuts, dried fruits, horticulture, and nursery crops (including floriculture).   Please access the 2010 Grant Information link for details on the workshop locations and times.

For more information, contact the Federal Funds Management Office at (916) 657-3231 or grants@cdfa.ca.gov.
