HSP Demonstration Projects
The HSP Demonstration Projects aim to improve soil health, sequester carbon and reduce atmospheric greenhouse gases (GHGs) funding on-farm demonstration projects that collect data and/or showcase conservation management practices that mitigate GHG emissions and increase soil health, and creating a platform promoting widespread adoption of conservation management practices throughout the state.
Type A projects will demonstrate implementation of conservation management practices, measure field GHGs emissions, and conduct analysis on cost/benefits for adoption of the proposed practice(s) and anticipated barriers.
Type B projects will demonstrate implementation of HSP conservation management practices and/or conduct analysis on cost/benefits for adoption of the proposed practice(s) and anticipated barriers.
What's New in HSP Demonstration Projects?
The HSP Demonstration Projects accepted applications from November 1, 2021 – December 31, 2021. CDFA received 12 applications for 2021 HSP Demonstration Projects requesting $2.02 million.
CDFA has awarded 7 HSP Demonstration Projects for the 2021 Solicitation, totaling $1,118,477.64 in awarded funds. 3 Type A Demonstration projects were awarded, and 4 Type B demonstration Projects were awarded. Please click here for a list of the awarded projects.
