STATEMENT FROM SECRETARY KAWAMURA ON THE DEATH OF CDFA UNDERSECRETARY WILL BROWN

SACRAMENTO, September 22, 2010 — CDFA Secretary A.G. Kawamura issued the following statement on the death of CDFA Undersecretary Will Brown:

“I was deeply saddened to learn of the death of Will Brown. He courageously battled his illness to the end.  Will came to CDFA with deep experience in many walks of life, which he put to good use through his tireless commitment to help lead our agency.  On behalf of all of us at CDFA, I extend my deepest sympathies to Will’s family, friends and loved ones.”   

CDFA Undersecretary Will Brown passed away at age 60, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Brown had served as undersecretary since 2008.
