SECRETARY KAWAMURA TO JOIN USDA SECRETARY JOHANNS FOR JOINT APPEARANCES THROUGHOUT CALIFORNIA

Farm Bill Forum, State Fair opening, ethanol plant ribbon cutting

SACRAMENTO – CDFA Secretary A.G. Kawamura will join USDA Secretary Mike Johanns for three scheduled appearances in California on Friday, August 12.

The first event will be the opening ceremonies for the California State Fair in Sacramento. Secretaries Johanns and Kawamura will appear at 9:30 a.m. at Cal Expo’s main gate. Following that, Secretary Kawamura will join Secretary Johanns at the Farm Bill Forum at the Fresno County Fairgrounds. The event is scheduled from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The day will conclude with the secretaries appearing together at a ribbon cutting ceremony at the Phoenix Bio Industries ethanol plant, 31120 Nutmeg Rd. Goshen, CA. The ceremony is scheduled to start at 5:45 p.m.

There are more than 350 commodities produced here, and our output is unmatched across the country.
