CDFA ANNOUNCES VACANCY ON THE FEED INSPECTION ADVISORY BOARD


SACRAMENTO - The California Department of Food and Agriculture’s Agricultural Commodities and Regulatory Services Branch is announcing three vacancies on the Feed Inspection Advisory Board (FIAB).  The FIAB makes recommendations to the secretary of CDFA on all matters pertaining to the feed inspection and enforcement program, including the annual budget, necessary fees to provide adequate inspection services, and regulations required to accomplish the purposes of the California Commercial Feed Law.


The term of office for a member of the FIAB is three years.  The members of the board receive no compensation, but are entitled to payment of necessary traveling expenses in accordance with the rules of the Department of Personnel Administration.


Applicants should hold a current California commercial feed license or be a representative of a licensed firm.  Individuals interested in being considered for board appointment should send a brief resume by December 03, 2004, to the California Department of Food and Agriculture, Agricultural Commodities and Regulatory Services Branch, 1220 N Street, Sacramento, California 95814, Attention: Kent Kitade.
