Undescribed genus 'S'

Could be confused with: Ectinorhynchus, Squamopygia, Taenogerella.

Systematic grouping: Taenogera genus-group.

Diagnosis: Numerous large setae on frons and scape; single or multiple rows of postocular setae in male and female; cell m3 open; hind femur with anteroventral apical seta; velutum patches absent on fore and hind femora and gonocoxites; gonocoxites without medial atrium; three spermathecae.

Distribution: Australian mainland.

Comments: An undescribed genus of at least one dozen species. Closely related to Ectinorhynchus and Squamopygia. Spot characters to look for when identifying this genus include velutum patches on the fore and hind femora absent, wing cell m3 open, medial atrium absent, mottled wings and elongate antennae.
