Undescribed genus 'N'

Could be confused with: Neodialineura, Nanexila.

Systematic grouping: Taenogera genus-group.

Diagnosis: Antenna shorter than head, flagellum conical; single row of postocular setae in male; cell m3 open; hind femur without anteroventral apical seta; velutum patches absent on fore and hind femora and gonocoxites; gonocoxites without medial atrium; three spermathecae, spermathecal sac simple, spherical.

Distribution: Australia.

Comments: An undescribed genus containing at least 10 new species of small flies that look similar to Nanexila. Spot characters to look for when identifying this genus include velutum patches on the fore and hind femora absent, wing cell m3 open, relatively small size, short antennae, apical seta absent from hind femur.
