Squamopygia Kröber Squamopygia Kröber, 1928: 35. Type species: Squamopygia ornata Kröber, 1928: 35. Could be confused with: Ectinorhynchus, Agapophytus, undescribed genus 'S', undescribed genera 'C' & 'J'. Systematic grouping: Taenogera genus-group. Diagnosis: Antennae elongate; single row of postocular setae in male; cell m3 open; hind femur with anteroventral apical seta; velutum patches absent on fore and hind femora and gonocoxites; gonocoxites without medial atrium; distiphallus narrowly tapering; spermathecal sac trilobate; three spermathecae. Distribution: North Queensland, Papua New Guinea. Comments: Closely related to Ectinorhynchus, this genus is only known from a few specimens from tropical Northern Queensland and Papua New Guinea. An undescribed species is known from Papua New Guinea. Spot characters to look for when identifying this genus include velutum patches on the fore and hind femora absent, wing cell m3 open, frons flat, antennae elongate, medial atrium absent.
