Undescribed genus 'M'

Could be confused with: Neodialineura, Laxotela, Manestella.

Systematic grouping: Taenogera genus-group.

Diagnosis: Antenna with flagellum conical, scape sometimes enlarged; single row of postocular setae in male; cell m3 open; hind femur with anteroventral apical seta; velutum patches absent on fore and hind femora and gonocoxites; epandrium often greatly elongate; gonocoxites without medial atrium; three spermathecae, spermathecal sac simple, spherical.

Distribution: Australia.

Comments: An undescribed genus containing at least 15 undescribed species of flies closely related to Manestella. Spot characters to look for when identifying this genus include velutum patches on the fore and hind femora absent, wing cell m3 open, enlarged epandrium, wing often mottled.
