Johnmannia Irwin & Lyneborg Mannia Paramonov,

[Preocc. Davidson, 1874: 156]. Could be confused with: Taenogera, Eupsilocephala. Systematic grouping: Taenogera genus-group. Diagnosis: Antennae elongate; multiple rows of postocular setae in male and female; metallic blue body colouration; cell m3 open; hind femur with anteroventral apical seta; velutum patches absent on fore and hind femora and gonocoxites; gonocoxites without medial atrium, stout setae on ventral surface of gonocoxite; three spermathecae, spermathecal sac trilobate (each with multiple lobes). Distribution: South-eastern coast: Queensland to Tasmania. Comments: Closely related to Eupsilocephala, this genus is also highly distinctive by its metallic blue colouration. There are at least two undescribed species in collections. C.L.Lambkin is presently revising this genus. Spot characters to look for when identifying this genus include velutum patches on the fore and hind femora absent, wing cell m3 open, large metallic body colouration.
