Research interests
Dr. Pickett's primary responsibility concerns the importation, testing and establishment of olive fruitfly parasitoids. He is also establishing populations of the Lygus parasitoids Peristenus spp. in strawberry growing regions of the central coast as well as cotton growing regions of the central valley. Dr. Pickett continues to monitor the spread of parasitoids released for the control of Bemisia tabaci in the southern San Joaquin Valley. Dr. Pickett is also subject editor for the Journal, Biological Science and Technology.
