Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza in British Columbia, Canada

December 16, 2014: Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) serotype H5N2 has now been found on a total of ten (10) premises in Frasier Valley (British Columbia, Canada). Depopulation of all infected premises is underway, with appropriate cleaning and disinfection, under the supervision of the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA).

December 9, 2014: Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) serotype H5N2 was found on a meat turkey farm and chicken broiler breeder farm that both experienced increased sudden mortality.
