Health requirements for admitting Waterfowl into California

A Certificate of Veterinary Inspection issued by an accredited veterinarian is required prior to entry. Certificates of Veterinary Inspection must state: "Flock of origin has been inspected and is free from and has had no exposure to duck virus enteritis."

A permit from the Animal Health Branch is no longer required, effective May 1, 2008.

Waterfowl must be shipped in previously unused or clean and disinfected containers.
