FARM BILL: Conservation Security Program (CSP)
CSP is a new Farm Bill conservation program that would pay growers up to $45,000 per year for conservation. The more comprehensive and farm-wide the conservation effort by a grower, the higher the payment. CSP would reward existing conservation work of growers, as well as support new practices. Rules have not yet been issued for the program and early congressional proposals for its implementation could limit CSP's initial funding to a single state demonstration.
