Introduction
Exotic fruit flies are devastating pest of fruit and nut crops. When localized infestations of this pest are found in the United States, agricultural officials of federal, state, and local agencies adopt quarantine and eradication procedures. Through these efforts, exotic fruit flies had been declared eradicated in the locations where it has been found.
